The Diploma course provides students with the skills necessary to work in the hairdressing industry from operational level to supervisory and management positions in hairdressing salons.

The qualification obtained is nationally accredited and students will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to manage or own a salon, and to be highly skilled in all aspects of hairdressing with opportunities to travel and work in fashion, theatre, media and teaching.

This course is intended to build on individual talents and experiences, recognise and respond to the diversity of individual needs. The training provided at Perth Institute helps develop the latest technical skills, as well as business and interpersonal skills. These skills will help students to open doors and create endless opportunities for an exciting career in the fantastic world of hairdressing.

Students are required to complete their work experience at "Fusion hair face and body" salon. "Fusion" is the official training salon for Perth Institute and is fully owned by Perth Institute. "Fusion" is located on the eighth floor of Carillon City Office Tower in the heart of the city. It provides easy access to students and is open to the general public. It aims to provide students with hands-on practical experience, up to date styles and skills, as well as traditional and highly modern hair techniques.

Perth Institute is proudly associated with Snips Hairdressing Group in Malaysia to bring world of hairdressing career opportunities to its graduates. Students can undertake internship and work experience with Snips Hair Salon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for international experience. Snips Group is the sponsor of Miss Malaysia beauty Pageant, international fashion shows and modelling events.
