Commercial Cookery & Hotel Management

The official training restaurant of Perth Institute, East End Cafe, is a finalist in the "2008 Gold Plate Awards" - in "Restaurant within a training establishment". Commercial cookery is an integral part of the hospitality industry and offers a wide variety of career options. Perth Institute provides training in the principles and skills of commercial food preparation.

The course prepares students to apply a broad range of competencies within a varied work context. Students will do the practical units in a simulated commercial kitchen. Students will also gain extensive work experience, as well as paid industry placement in the food industry in Perth, including hotels, motels, restaurants, casinos, clubs and cafes, food processing companies, hospitals and catering companies.
