A short course to give you all the knowledge and confidence to prepare and serve espresso coffee
You Will Learn:
- All the major coffee styles and their characteristics
- Types of beans, blends and roasts with a particular emphasis on espresso roast
- Key principles of coffee making including texturing milk and extraction
- Types of grind and grinding equipment
- Operation of a commercial espresso machine
- Correct storage of coffee
- Safe work practices in relation to the use of a coffee machine
- Cleaning and maintenance procedures
- Correct serving of coffee
- Food and Beverage Preparation and Service
Course Delivery
This practical course is run at the Perth Institute’s fully equipped training venue. Course cost includes all materials as well as a study guide.
